SCENARIO - 11 - SEALION 1943 - AXIS - TURN 12 - END

Birmingham - Showdown at Birmingham: once the air defense unit is destroyed, planes attack and then come land forces, all enemy units are eliminated except one, the objective is taken, the matter settled.

Oxford, Newbury, London - Business as usual, last attacks before the game ends, Oxford is taken, Newbury attacked and more hexes are conquered in London, where few enemy units now remain.

Norwich - Here's where the game ends. Defending the town there's a tough infantry unit with 12 strength points and an 8 entrenchment level. Two hits from the capital ships, a hit from artillery, then a carpet bombardment and an attack by paratroopers and the enemy is softened so the last attack by a Panther destroys it. Objective taken, game over.

SCENARIO - 11 - SEALION 1943 - AXIS - TURN 11

Birmingham - Attack on Birmingham begins. The only air defense unit is destroyed, together with the weakest tank, while the other units are damaged by air forces. Three Tiger tanks are purchased in Shrewsbury. Objective should fall in two turns. Oxford is bombarded and defending infantry is reduced from 12 to 4 strength points.

 

London - Battle for London comes to an end, the third London hex is taken, three enemy units are destroyed and the first line is advanced, English forces cannot counterattack neither new units can be purchased.

 

Norwich - Battle for Norwich begins. The two enemy artillery units are destroyed, while other English tanks are damaged, but German units cannot manage to get adjacent to the objective, to prevent enemy to purchase new units. Three more Panthers and an artillery are purchased, we hope to take the objective next turn.

 

TURN 11 - ALLIES

Allies reaction is almost non-existent as the remaining units have a limited offensive power. 

SCENARIO - 11 - SEALION 1943 - AXIS - TURN 10

Shrewsbury (16,12) - Enemy units are attacked and destroyed, now the town is clear and next turn new units should be available.

Bristol (16,26) - English 24° Para 43 crosses river Avon and gets adjacent to the objective, without attacking. A Stuka attacks and takes away 7 strength points, then comes 29° and 48° infantry and the unit is destroyed.

Oxford (24,22) - Nine attacks, four enemy units destroyed and the road to Birmingham is open, now only an enemy infantry unit remains holding the town.

London - Fifteen attacks and five enemy units eliminated, now we're very near the end, two-thirds of London objectives are in our hands, the last hex will probably be next turn.

Norwich (40,15) - Good news, it's possible to purchase units in Great Vermouth, so four Panthers are ready to attack next turn. A Heavy Cruiser arrives, attacks and hits an enemy artillery unit, reducing it from 11 to 6 strength points.

TURN 10 - ALLIES
Lucky turn! Enemy counterattacks but fails all over the line. Near Oxford, the American 83° M4A1 attacks the 4° Tiger, gets a rugged defense and is destroyed. At Horsham, a Matilda II attacks a PSW and gets a 7-0. In London, two english infantry units attack the 6° Pioniere but get an "attack broken up" and lose respectively 6 and 7 strength points with no damage on our side. On the Thames river, 8° Pioniere is heavily damaged by a Sherman.

 

SCENARIO - 11 - SEALION 1943 - AXIS - TURN 09

Shrewsbury (16,12) -The town is taken and the defending anti-tank destroyed, but the other two enemy units are reduced to shambles but still alive, they must be destroyed to purchase new units. In the meanwhile the German units which have conquered Bristol head towards Oxford.

London -Battle rages, six enemy units are destroyed but the enemy goes on purchasing new units. Victory is near, but at the same time also quite far.

Norwich (40,15) - The paratroop unit which has conquered Great Vermouth exits the town trying to evade the english guns, and is substituted by the Destroyer. If the town will hold, new units will be purchased.

TURN 09 - ALLIES

At Shrewsbury, the american anti-aircraft replaces losses up to 10 points. At Oxford, enemy retreats and holds ground. At Bristol, paratroopers Get in touch with the town and now must be dealt with. In London, a new Matilda unit is purchased to slow German advance. at Great Vermouth, a Matilda spots the damaged paratroop unit which is destroyed by english artillery.

SCENARIO - 11 - SEALION 1943 - AXIS - TURN 08

Shrewsbury (16,12) - The two paratroop units attack the artillery unit, which is destroyed, getting adjacent to the town so the enemy cannot purchase reinforcements. Other planes are coming to support.

  Bristol (16,26) - All enemy units are destroyed and the town is taken. An air defense will be left as garrison. The German units continue northbound but Oxford seems to be well guarded, so maybe it'll be better to pass through Worcester, but the problem is to cross Avon river and face two incoming enemy units.

  London - German units are now in touch with the first objective, but defense is very strong, air defenses are the main targets but they're hard to get rid of, until then, air force cannot intervene. Four enemy units are destroyed, but there's still a long way to go.

Great Vermouth (44,14) -The town is taken and the defending infantry destroyed, but there's a Matilda at close range and two 7.2" Guns which will fire next turn, things are not going well, it will be hard to hold the town until it will be possible to purchase units.

TURN 08 - ALLIES

At Shrewsbury, an American anti-aircraft, a M15A1 MGMC arrives and damages the JU87. At Bristol, the two enemy units arrive on the other side of Avon river. In London, the German infantry unit which conquered an objective is destroyed. In Great Vermouth, the paratroop unit that conquered the town is badly beaten by the two artilleries which are a big problem.

SCENARIO - 11 - SEALION 1943 - AXIS - TURN 07

Shrewsbury (16,12) - The two paratroop units have touched the ground, and a BF109 and a JU87D are arriving to lend a hand. First target to hit next turn is the artillery unit.
Bristol (16,26) - Attack begins, even if not all german units are in position. An air defense is destroyed, another one is heavily damaged, as the artillery and the Grant units.
West Fleet - Enemy west fleet is completely destroyed, the last vessel is sunk by 58° U-boot.
London - Attack on London begins, five enemy units are destroyed, German units get in touch with the first objective hex, now we'll wait for enemy counterattack. fight rages also around Hastings and Horsham.
Great Vermouth (44,14) -A paratroop unit gets adjacent to the town, preventing Allies from purchasing reinforcements. Next turn the city will be attacked by sea, by air and by land, so it's possible the city will fall in our hands.

TURN 07 - ALLIES

Some minor counterattack, a PSW 233/8r is destroyed in London and other units are slightly damaged.

SCENARIO - 11 - SEALION 1943 - AXIS - TURN 06

Shrewsbury (16,12) - Bad news. The two Ju52g5e air transports fly over the town which is now occupied by two anti-tanks and a 7.2" Gun. They will launch anyway next turn and try to take the city. Situation is getting harder.
Bristol (16,26) - Units keep out of enemy spotting range and get in position to attack air defenses next turn and possibly the 7.2" Gun defending the Objective.
Bournemouth (20,32) - The town is taken, the defending infantry destroyed, now the way is open to attack Bristol from the south, although the presence of an air defense in a nearby airfield prevents to target the 7.2" Gun.
Tunbridge Wells (35,27) - The town is taken, now German units are in the outskirts of London, just two hexes away from the nearest objective.
Great Vermouth (44,14) - The english Battleship has been sunk, the enemy east fleet no longer exists, the Destroyer gets near the town which is occupied by an infantry unit with a 6 entrenchment level. The two paratroop units take the ground and hoping the enemy will not purchase new units, next turn they will at least get in touch with the city.

TURN 06 - ALLIES

Enemy attacks here and there, the last Mosquito hits a mounted Pioniere infantry causing 8 damage points, but now it's in the fire range of two 8.8 FlaK 18, so next turn it'll be wiped out.

SCENARIO - 11 - SEALION 1943 - AXIS - TURN 05

Shrewsbury - The trick has worked out, the enemy has purchased three units in Cardigan, including a 7.2" Gun. The air transports fly towards Shrewsbury, stopping at three hexes distance.
West Fleet - Now the U-boots have been left alone by air forces, and they have all the time in the world to finish their job. The enemy Battleship is reduced from 10 to 5 strength points.
Winchester - The defending units are destroyed and the town is taken, together with the airfield. Now on to Bristol.
Newhaven - Over the town the American Marauder is shot down.

Tunbridge Wells - The Battle for Tunbridge Wells is bloody, fifteen attacks and five enemy units are destroyed, all of them tanks. Now with the sky clear of enemy planes, only hindrance for Stukas are the British air defenses, which are now the main target of German attacks.
East Fleet - U-Boot attacks but enemy Battleship is hard to sink, next turn the way should be clear.
Great Vermouth - Paratroopers land just north of the town, next turn they will take position then on turn seven we hope to take the town.

TURN 05 - ALLIES

Allies reaction is feeble, except for the distruction of a PzIV at Tunbridge Wells, attacked by a Grant and a Churchill tanks. Some purchase was expected, but in fact no unit was acquired.

SCENARIO - 11 - SEALION 1943 - AXIS - TURN 04

Shrewsbury: the two air transports continue on their way to Shrewsbury, they hover on Cardigan (4,18) hoping the enemy will purchase some unit there to prevent the town from being taken, wasting prestige and unit slots.

West Fleet: a Light Cruiser and a Heavy Cruiser are sunk, now only two enemy vessels remain.
Portsmouth: the defending enemy unit is destroyed and the town is taken. German units attack Winchester: a Stuart tank is destroyed by a combined attack and the air defense unit is hit by naval fire. The town should fall next turn.

Around London, main goal is to eliminate enemy air force. Five British and American planes are shot down, now only two remain, a Mosquito and a Marauder. An anti-tank unit is destroyed too. Enemy is clogging the map with Matildas I, it will take some time to conquer objectives.

TURN 04 - ALLIES

Enemy counterattacks here and there and destroys the German infantry unit  at Chatham which was down at three strength points.
